MICATalks 2017

Come join us for a night of TED Talk inspired lectures as a hand-picked panel of successful alumni from a wide range of professional worlds share their journey with the MICA community. Speakers will be presenting on their current work and how they navigated life after graduation to get where they are today. The panel features alumni: Danielle Scruggs '08 MA Digital Arts (Exhibiting Photographer & Director of Photography at Chicago Reader), Brittany Roger '11/'12 Illustration & MPS Business of Art & Design (Illustrator & Founder of the Drawing Zoo), Kate Weintraub '12 Fiber (Harper+Scott and Print All Over Me), Ricardo Zapata '07 Painting (MFA UPenn, Exhibiting Artist & Instructor at Penn State), Rachel Faller '08 Fiber (Fulbright to Cambodia and Founder of Tonle, a zero-waste fashion company) and Jeremy Doan '14 Graphic Design (Under Armour). These incredible artists and designers will be each giving short presentations and taking questions as a panel. The event will be followed by a catered mix and mingle outside of the lecture hall, so come prepared to be a part of the interaction in this intimate lecture setting.
